Celebrate the 4th in Style!
Join Us at the Fryemont Inn
There’s something magical about the Fourth of July in a small mountain town.
This year, Bryson City has even more reason to celebrate as America marks its 250th anniversary, and we’re inviting you to experience one of Western North Carolina’s favorite Independence Day traditions.
On Saturday, July 4, downtown Bryson City comes alive with Freedom Fest, a full day of live music, local artisans, food vendors, family activities, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the region.
It’s just a short walk from the Fryemont Inn — though guests should note the return trip is a bit of a climb, as the hill back to the Inn is fairly steep. Parking downtown can be limited during the festival, so many guests still find the walk to be the easiest and most enjoyable option.
Once you’re there, you’ll enjoy:
🇺🇸 Live music throughout the day
🎆 A spectacular fireworks display at 10:00 p.m.
🍔 Food trucks, local favorites, and festival treats
🛍️ More than 70 craft and food vendors
🎈 Two Kids Areas with family-friendly activities
💦 A misting station to help everyone stay cool during the afternoon
Whether you’ve celebrated the Fourth with us before or are planning your first visit, there’s never been a better year to experience Bryson City. Freedom Fest has become a beloved hometown tradition that brings together neighbors, visitors, and generations of families to celebrate our country and our community.
If you’re still making plans for the holiday weekend, we’d love to welcome you. Call 828-488-2159 to check holiday availability—we’d be honored to help you celebrate America’s 250th birthday with us at the Fryemont Inn.
After a full day downtown, return to the Fryemont Inn to relax on the porch, share stories from the day, and enjoy the peaceful mountain evening before heading back to watch the fireworks light up the Smokies.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
Book your stay now and make a weekend of it.
